As Senior Business Controller IT, you’ll lead all financial activities within the IT organisation, bringing clarity to budgets, strengthening cost control, and shaping a financial framework that supports business value. Reporting directly to the CIO and managing one direct report, you’ll collaborate closely with IT, Finance, Procurement and Group IT to build reliable, future-proof financial processes.
formulate and administer the IT department's budget, forecast and actuals financial performance, and conduct thorough variance analyses. Ensure detailed tracking and reporting of financial metrics
exercise vigilant oversight of IT expenditures, identify and implement cost-saving measures, and ensure the adoption of cost-effective practices. supervise the financial dimensions of IT projects, ensuring discipline and timely completion within budgetary constraints
ensure timely and accurate rebilling to IT internal customers and maintain the IT Belux rebilling framework
compile and deliver detailed financial reports to senior management, offering insights and recommendations.
ensure strict adherence to financial regulations and internal policies
collaborate closely with IT and finance teams to harmonize financial objectives with overarching business goals
facilitate detailed financial discussions and ensure alignment across departments
provide the right set of tools to the IT community to support them in their financial & budget processes
a master's or bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or a related field
at least 7 years of experience in financial management, including 5 in a senior IT controlling role
demonstrated proficiency in financial software (e.g., SAP) and analytical tools
deep knowledge of IT financial processes, including budget, forecast, recharging, Opex and Capex management
familiarity with financial reporting standards and strong skills in financial documentation and record-keeping
the leadership and analytical mindset to guide your small team, drive collaboration, and serve as the reference point for all IT cost related topics
fluency in English and at least one of the Belgian national languages (Dutch or French)
